Jonathan Watkins<\/p>\n

\"JJonathan began his career in Nashville Tennessee where he attended Belmont University earning a degree in Music and is\u00a0<\/span>now\u00a0<\/span>a permanent member of the Curb School Of Music Business Advisory Board<\/span>\u00a0of Directors<\/span>. \u00a0<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

For the past ten<\/span>\u00a0years Jonathan has\u00a0<\/span>also worked f<\/span>or video game giant El<\/span>ectronic Arts as\u00a0<\/span>consultant for the music catalog, setting up their music publishing business and administration arrangement with Nettwerk One Music<\/span>\u00a0and overseeing the release of its Soundtracks<\/span>\u00a0as well as their\u00a0<\/span>million dollar<\/span>\u00a0production music library with Extreme Music<\/span>. \u00a0He came to them after being approached by the head of Music for EA while he was still at Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios in Los Angeles overseeing the transition of the catalog to Sony after having served as MGM\u2019s Music Publisher.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"MGM\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As Vice President, Music Catalog Development for MGM Music, Jonathan oversaw the worldwide royalty collection and creative exploitation of both the music publishing catalogs of MGM and the vast library\u00a0<\/span>of master recordings created by<\/span>\u00a0the studio. \u00a0Under Jonathan\u2019s management, the music licensing revenues for MGM tripled and the catalog exceeded projections every year for the five years of his tenure. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jonathan came to MGM from Twentieth Century Fox Studios where he was the Creative Director for that studio\u2019s film and television music holdings for three years. \u00a0As Creative Director he w<\/span>as responsible for the\u00a0<\/span>exploitation of the catalog in Fox\u2019s film and television productions as well as outside productions and commercials. <\/span><\/p>\n

\"20th_century_fox-logo\"<\/a>Prior to moving to Los Angeles to work at Fox, he was an A&R Director for Star Song Communications, a division of EMI CMG, releasing thirteen number one singles from his artist\u2019s projects<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>was also\u00a0<\/span>music publisher for Star Song where the catalog received twenty Dove nominations, winning four including Song of the Year. \u00a0The company also had over one hundred and fifty placemen<\/span>ts including twenty #1 singles.<\/span><\/p>\n

In September, 2010, Jonathan relocated to Los Angeles from Nashville and continues to be a music supervisor for EA and is concentrating on the growth of Watsky Music, Stampede Production Music as well as his music supervision for his company Ernest Entertainment Inc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ernest Entertainment, Jonathan has served<\/span>\u00a0as Music Supervisor for the films\u00a0<\/span>You\u2019re Not You<\/span>\u00a0starrin<\/span>g Oscar winner\u00a0<\/span>–\u00a0<\/span>Hillary Swank,<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>The Good Lie<\/span>\u00a0starring\u00a0<\/span>O<\/span>scar winner – Reese Witherspoon and\u00a0<\/span>just\u00a0<\/span>wrapping up\u00a0<\/span>the new Denis Villeneuve directed film\u00a0<\/span>Sicario<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>starring Emily Blunt and\u00a0<\/span>another Oscar winner –\u00a0<\/span>Benicio<\/span>\u00a0d<\/span>el Toro.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nHe is also a voting m<\/span>ember of NARA<\/span>S, Music Supervisor\u2019s Guild, Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music and National Music Publishers Association.<\/span><\/p>\n
